Dashboards & Analysis
The Monitor section of the sidebar shows how a surveillance programme is going. This page covers three of its screens: Home, Dashboard and Comparison. Team admins and project heads use them to see progress, find where disease is being detected, and analyse results. The other Monitor screens have their own pages: GeoLens, Lab Processing and SNP Analysis.
You only see data for the projects your role gives you access to.
Home is the landing screen after login. It gives a quick summary for the month:
- This month’s overview: visited sites, positive sites and samples tested, with an Open Dashboard button.
- Diseases: for each disease, samples Collected & Shipped, Tested Positive, Tested Negative and Unclear, with a View Dashboard link.
- Site Details: a table of sites with the project, samples collected, disease and status.
Dashboard
Section titled “Dashboard”Dashboard (titled Disease Surveillance Dashboard) shows weekly sample collection and results for your projects.
Filters
Section titled “Filters”Narrow the data with the filters at the top. You can combine any of them:
- Project, State, District
- Disease, and for avian influenza the H / N subtype
- Site and Sample Type
- Result: All Results, Positive, Negative or Inconclusive
- A time period (for example All Time)
Click Reset to clear them.
Key Numbers
Section titled “Key Numbers”Five cards summarise the period you selected:
| Card | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Total Samples Collected | Samples collected in the field |
| Samples Processed | Samples that have been through the lab |
| Positivity Rate | Share of tested samples that were positive |
| Positive Sites | Number of sites with a positive result (the title follows the Result filter) |
| Inconclusive Results | Samples with an unclear result |
Trends
Section titled “Trends”The trend chart can be shown three ways. Use the toggle above the chart:
- Aggregated: the overall trend over time.
- Site-wise: trend lines per site, plus a heatmap of samples by site that you can sort by most samples, fewest samples or alphabetically.
- Sample-wise: the trend for each sample type. Use All or None to show or hide types.
Disease-wise Positives
Section titled “Disease-wise Positives”Shows, for each disease, the percentage of positive samples and the number of cases in the chosen period.
Positive Sites
Section titled “Positive Sites”Shows the number of positive sites, the districts with the most positive sites, and the trend over time.
Geospatial Distribution
Section titled “Geospatial Distribution”A map of sites. Sites with confirmed positives and sites with no positive detection are shown differently, with totals for each. Choose a year to see a month-wise view, or pick All months. If the map does not load, use Retry.
Site-wise Sample Breakdown
Section titled “Site-wise Sample Breakdown”A table of the number of Positive, Negative and Unclear samples for each site and disease, with more filters available.
Data Analysis
Section titled “Data Analysis”A table of the underlying records, which you can use for further analysis.
Comparison
Section titled “Comparison”Comparison helps you decide where to focus sampling by comparing positivity across projects, sites or sample types. Positivity rate is calculated as positive samples ÷ total samples × 100.
Choose a tab:
Project Comparison
Section titled “Project Comparison”Compares positivity across projects. Filter by project, state, disease and sample type. You see total samples, positive samples, overall positivity rate, number of projects and sample types, plus the positivity trend by project and by disease, and positivity by sample type.
Sitewise Comparison
Section titled “Sitewise Comparison”Compares two sites within one project. Choose the Project, Site 1 and Site 2, and optionally a Sample Type and Date Range. The page shows the difference in positivity rate, the sample types compared, and a detailed table with total samples, positive samples and positivity rate for each site. Charts show the positivity trend, positivity by sample type and the number of positive samples over time.
Sample Comparison
Section titled “Sample Comparison”Compares two sample types. Choose Sample Type 1 and Sample Type 2, and optionally a project, state, site and date range. You see totals, trends over time, a comparison by project and disease-wise positive samples.
